Crooked Sightings: ‘Ash vs. Evil Dead’ Season 3 Review

By Robert Yaniz Jr.

Crooked Sightings highlights the work of Robert Yaniz Jr. that has been published outside the realm of CrookedTable.com.

Typically, Crooked Table is home to discussion, analysis and opinions on the world of film (ahem, from a fresh angle). However, every once in a while, a piece of content slips past those parameters, such as our podcast episodes on buzz-worthy TV series like The Flash, Daredevil and Dear White People. Considering that it fits this criteria and is based on a popular film franchise, Ash vs. Evil Dead seems like as good an excuse as any to take a momentary jaunt away from the hubbub of cinema and the current Oscar season.

The Starz series returns next week for season 3, and I had the pleasure of reviewing the first five episodes for We Got This Covered. Needless to say, the show’s signature blend of horror and comedy makes it a matter of taste, even moreso than most other television series. But with the first two seasons already on Netflix (as recently mentioned on the Crooked Table Podcast), now’s as good a time as any to consider checking the show out when it premieres on February 25.

While you do, check out my full-length review over at We Got This Covered for more detailed thoughts on Ash vs. Evil Dead season 3.
